The family home of my grandmother, Florence Evelyn MacDougall
My grandfather, George Eldon McElroy Sr., married Florence Evelyn MacDougall in 1915. They had one son, George Eldon McElroy Jr., born 1919 March 16.
Florence was the daughter of Joseph MacDougall and Anna Simpson. Joseph was a carriage maker. Florence was born at Arnprior on 1875 June 25 and died at Pembroke on 1961-03-02. She had 2 brothers and 3 sisters: Melville, Lorne, Gertrude, Ida, and Etta. Ida continued to live in the family home until the 1940s.
Some records use the alternative spelling McDougall. I believe MacDougall to be the preferred spelling.
