Ice Out
2018 April 29
This morning we went for a drive around the local area to investigate the state of ice out. In summary, ice out has not yet occurred but it is imminent. A change of wind direction would probably do it. The Chalk River is very high and is slightly flowing over Forestry Road at the Corry Lake Bridge. Corry Lake is still ice covered.

Looking towards Presqu'isle from Point Alexander. You could launch here if you really wanted to, but frankly. today's conditions were miserable. Presqu'isle is still iced in.

Corry Lake Bridge. It might be possible to paddle a canoe under there but it would be tight.
