Mouth of Presqu'isle Bay
This view is looking directly into the bay of Lower Presqu'isle. The main expanse of the Ottawa River is off to the left. The most prominent distant green clump of trees, just in from the left hand edge of the photo, are on the end of the peninsula. From the skyline defined by these trees, you can get some sense of the height of the gravel bar that constitutes the peninsula.
The granite shore on the right is typical of much of the Quebec shore along this stretch of the Ottawa River. But some very nice sand beaches are also present.
