Tapping
Hammering in the spile.
It is finally time to tap the maple trees. This is almost two weeks later than last year. Currently daytime temperatures are running a bit above 0C and dropping to -15C or lower at night. When we drilled the trees, there was no visible sap flow, but the shavings were damp.
