Cat Ice
Cat ice on the Chalk River near Hwy 17.
Each day there is a little more open water; each night it refreezes. Spring seems slow this year. While the days have been glorious -- 5C and sunny -- it's still quite cold overnight -- minus 15C at dawn this morning. And while the maple sap is barely flowing, I did see a chipmunk out and about this morning. No robins yet though.
