Rattlesnake-Plantain   

Checkered rattlesnake-plantain -- Goodyera tesselata.

I've been making regular pilgrimages to visit this plant ever since I learned of its location back in May. So there's no way I was not going to post a picture of it when it finally deigned to flower. But I must admit I was expecting something -- how shall I put it? -- perhaps a little larger. Oh well, it's still a cute little local orchid!
