Alcohol Perhaps? This gate controls vehicle access to the Petawawa Research Forest and is usually closed and locked overnight. Clearly, some time during the past week, someone used a vehicle to try to 'unlock' it during off hours. Whether they were successful or not is unclear, but whatever the case, it is worrying. It would be tragic to lose public access to such a valuable community resource due to senseless vandalism.
