Roots with Clay on the Silver Spoon Ski Trails in Deep River

Roots with Clay   Underlying the Silver Spoon Ski Trails in Deep River is a thin layer of clay. This is a remnant of the bottom of the Champlain Sea. In most places this layer is buried, but it is exposed in these roots along the Silver Spur. Another place to observe this clay layer is approaching the second bridge on M-loop.
