Ice Out   The ice is out at Point Alexander. This is about ten days earlier than the last couple of years. While the early ice out no doubt reflects the fact that we had a mild winter, the high water suggests that they have opened the control dam at Swisha. I believe that the opening of the dam is a more important factor in determining the date of ice out than any climatic consideration.
